Since his accident in 1973 Don has suffered from amnesia and has had to keep diaries to help him remember.

Now Don has made his diaries available to Danish writer Lise Lyng Falkenberg, who is to write his biography. The diaries will be the basis of the biography along with a new series of talks between the writer and the Slade-drummer.

Don met Lise Lyng Falkenberg in connection with an interview in the summer of 2005 and since then they've developed a friendship that also includes Don's Danish family. Lise has had a dozen books published in Danish and English, mostly fiction, but also books on literature and music, including a biography on The Monkees.
