John Berry joined Slade in January 2003

John (Jack) Berry was born in Brixton, South London in 1962.
His Mother Peggy from Wexford, Southern Ireland, his father also John from Streatham,
was Double Bass Player with an early version of the Strawbs, and a solo recording artist
with Ember Records.

Educated at Upbury Manor in Kent he started gigging at 13 with his father, and local bands,
turning Professional at 16.

John was the Bass Player with MUD from 1987 - 2003

And he ran his own band THE ESCORTS from 1988 - 2005

He also played Bass and sang with:
