Convoy ONS-154

[Diagram by types of ship]    [Diagram by Task Groups]

Start: Saturday December 26, 1942 Ending: Wednesday December 30, 1942

Attack by 2 wolfpacks of U boats on convoy ONS 154 in the North Atlantic. The losses are horrendous (a third of the merchant ships in the convoy are lost). That was the last straw for the British Admirality. The fight against the U boats became a number 1 priority, paving the way to the victory won in the North Atlantic in the next summer.

Webmaster's question(s) and remark(s): Not all merchant ships are drawn on the diagrams. The ships without flag in the convoy are those of which nationality I am not sure.
