A German offensive patrol at the entry of the English channel is taken under fire by a group of British cruisers. The Germans turned back and narrowly escaped. That sort of skirmishes was inevitable. After they had taken over the harbors along the Channel and the Atlantic Ocean thanks to the armistice with France, the Germans were setting up their defences and probing the enemies' ones.
