Panzer III mod. L
Type: Medium tank
The model L integrates the changes brought in the course of the production to the J version. The suspension is slightly changed. The model J were the first to receive an antiaircraft MG on the cupola of the tank commander. That change was afterwards applied back on the existing models.
The production of the Panzer III was extended long beyond its usefulness in combat. Already in 1941, the Panzer III is no longer up to the T-34. By lack of efficient countermeasures, the Germans will be forced to continue the production of an inefficient tank for months.
Identification: The 5 cm gun is longer than on the previous models. A spaced armor was installed in the front turret and in the front of the superstructure. New layout of the airintakes on the rear hull.
