Panzer III mod. H 
Type: Medium tank
Complete reworking of the Panzer III, with a reinforced armor up against the British 2-pounder or the Russian 4.5 cm guns. Its enlarged tracks and its new running gear were aimed not only at improving cross-country abilities of a somewhat heavier machine, but also to facilitate production.
Identification: New sprocket and idler, the same as those of the Panzer IV, appeared with the model H. The track is widened (from 36 to 40 cm).
