Panzer III mod. D 

Type: Medium tank
Last pre-production model of the Panzer III with a suspension modified once more. The armor is noticeably reinforced, provoking an increase in overall weight.
It took part in the campaign in Poland and in Noway. Almost half the units were not armed and only served to testing. All the tanks of this series and the previous ones were removed from the frontline in the beginning of 1940, when enough model E could replace them.
Identification: Eight road-wheels. Cupola with episcopes and stepped sides.
