Flammpanzer III 

Type: Flamethrowing tank
With the memory of street fightings in Stalingrad in mind, hundred Panzer III model M were converted to flamethrowers. The gun was replaced by the new weapon and the crew was reduced to three. The front armor was reinforced.
They were engaged in Kursk, but the conversion was not successful. Most vehicles were later converted back to the standard Panzer III or changed to recovery vehicle.
Identification: The fake gun is wider than the real one. Armor plate are bolted in the front of the turret and on the hull.
